The MVP3 Foundation hosted its annual Men of Excellence Awards
The MVP3 Foundation hosted its annual Men of Excellence Awards and John Amos Student Grant ceremony, recognizing fathers and sons who serve as role models for youth. The 2025 awardees included Bishop Edward H. Stephens Jr., Eron J. Stephens, Walter Bailey Jr., Taurus Bailey, Councilman Edmund Ford Sr., and Commissioner Edmund Ford Jr. Joseph Casey received the John Amos Student Grant, which recognizes a student who embodies media integrity, having been nominated by Teacher Marshonn Calvin and sponsored by Strong Women In Film. The event, held at the Withers Collection & Gallery Museum, featured a performance by Dr. Alvin McKinny, the Prime Minister of Joyful Jazz. Collaborators included the Memphis Black Arts Alliance and FathersFirst Memphis.
