Metamorphoses Announces Request for Internship Opportunities

Metamorphoses, Inc. will be filing a charter school application in 2018 for the 2019 school year. The proposed school is vocational academic high school serving grades 9th – 12th. Our site location team has been scouting out potential property in the Whitehaven or Airport areas, the targeted students are students in the Whitehaven and South Memphis areas however, the school is open to all students in the Shelby County area.
This Next Generation High school integrates vocational programs, career readiness and college preparedness in addition to the required academic tract. It is a dual enrollment program incorporating career development with certification preparedness. As we are aware many of the students will reach their 18th birthday prior to or shortly after graduation, making them eligible to take certification test and enter the workforce as young laborers.
The initial vocation programs are automotive technology, industrial robotics, computer systems and network technology. Students will be prepared for the industry certifications in addition to the SAT beginning in the 11th grade.
We are looking for individuals with specific skills for our planning sessions: Legal, Banking Industry, Secondary Education Curriculum Planning, Human Resources, Staffing and Recruiting, Marketing, Public Relations, Funding Expertise, serve on the Industry Professional Advisory and Capitol Improvement Committees, and a CPA.
Metamorphoses would also like to align with industry professionals that will provide internship/ apprenticeship opportunities that will foster pipeline to employment opportunities.
