ALCO Management Inc., Welcomes Governor Lee to Community Partnership Event
                                Greenbriar Apartments Location For “Y On The Fly” Experience

July10, 2019- Memphis, TN – ALCO Management, Inc., has a 40-year legacy of leadership and service in the Frayser community. It’s a legacy forged through decades of partnerships and support for enrichment programs like Y On The Fly. Gov. Bill Lee, First Lady Maria Lee, and Shelby County Schools Superintendent Dr. Joris Ray volunteered at a Y On The Fly event held at ALCO’s Greenbriar Apartments in June.

The Y On the Fly event was hosted by the Neighborhood Christian Center and developed by the YMCA of Memphis & the Mid-South. Gov. Lee, the First Lady, and Superintendent Ray spent the afternoon interacting with children, residents and program leaders.

Y On The Fly provides mobile units to communities outside of the YMCA’s current service areas. The vision for the new program is to serve more neighborhoods and more children than ever before by delivering healthy meals, providing books, and bringing physical and educational activities to children in Memphis neighborhoods.

 “We are thrilled to have Governor Lee, the First Lady, and Superintendent Ray here at our property today,” said ALCO CEO Frank Jemison on the day of the event. “We strive to nurture environments at our properties that promote quality family life. This type of event is what building community is all about. It’s exciting to see the children get a taste of this new program.”

ALCO and the Neighborhood Christian Center (NCC) have a longstanding partnership. As a part of their collaboration, ALCO provides on-site program locations to the NCC at Greenbriar and several other properties in Memphis.
