Social Media Day Memphis 2017 - Breakfast & Panel Discussion

Join us Friday, June 30 for a breakfast and panel discussion to celebrate Social Media Day 2017 in Memphis! In coordination with LMCB Social and J. Herbison, we are excited to be part of the 8^th annual National Social Media Day celebration in our city.

Learn from our expert panelists on social media practices for all types of businesses and organizations, the legal implications of social media from a human resources perspective, and how you can support your city by showing off Memphis on social media June 30 and every day.

Panelists: 

Kyle Veazey
Deputy Director of Communications, City of Memphis
Through his position with the City of Memphis, Kyle focuses on empowering the city to directly communicate with its citizens. He works closely with Mayor Jim Strickland on his own direct communications, including social media, speeches and his weekly emails. He’s also a regular weekly guest on the popular Drake in the Mornings radio show on WXMX-FM 98.1.

Courtney Leyes
​Associate Attorney, Fisher-Phillips
​Courtney is an associate in Fisher-Phillips Memphis and Gulfport, MS offices. She has experience representing employers in litigation related to discrimination and harassment in the workplace, in particular, federal jury trial experience. She has experience handling traditional labor matters, including labor arbitrations, unfair labor practices charges, and elections, and also advises her clients regarding a variety of employment matters. Courtney is AV Peer Review Rated by Martindale-Hubbell and has been listed in Mid-South Super Lawyers – Rising Stars since 2014. She is also the recipient of the Memphis Business Journal's 2017 Best of the Bar awards for Ace Associate.

Lisa Busby
Founder, LMCB Social
Lisa is a native Memphian who enjoys promoting Memphis and the people and businesses of the Mid-South, helping businesses grow in the world of social media through LMCB Social, a full-range professional service provider for businesses who need guidance and support with social media. She holds a Diploma of Distinction in Social Media Marketing and Online Reputation Management and has served on the board and as social media chairman for the Sales & Marketing Society of the Mid-South. Lisa has been instrumental in bringing the national Social Media Day celebration to Memphis for several years and will be moderating the panel discussion.
