5K AND 1 MILE WALK

2018 FINISHER MEDALS TO ALL FINISHERS OF THE 5K

Slated for Sunday, September 30, 2018 at 2 p.m., this 5K benefits Camp Good Grief – the Mid-South’s first children’s bereavement camp. The Camp Good Grief 5k will be a family fun event you will want to put on your calendar this year and years to come. We will have moon bounces, face painting, and games for the kids. Grilled hamburgers, cotton candy, and yummy treats will be served along with soft drinks and bottled water. This is truly an event for the entire family.

The goal of the free annual bereavement camp is to give area children — ages 6 to 12 — an enjoyable, accepting and supportive environment in which they can freely express their feelings about the loss of a loved one.

The camp is made possible through a grant from Baptist Memorial Health Care Foundation, individual donations and partnerships with local businesses like Pugh’s Flowers, Pugh’s Earthworks, Mister Tree and Memorial Park Funeral Home and Cemetery.
